Rally for jailed journalists on 29 June

Platform for Freedom for Journalists released a written statement to announce a march asking for freedom for over 100 jailed press members in Turkey.

The march will take place on 29 June and will start from Istiklal Caddesi in Istanbul central Taksim area and end with a press statement in Taksim Square. The rally will begin at 7pm.

The Platform’s statement on the march ended calling for solidarity and participation in the march to all victims of Turkish Penal Code and Anti-Terror Law, all tried and arrested sections of the society, relatives and organizations of all prisoners, authors, columnists, academicians, artists, lawyers, bar associations, unions, workers, public servants, dismissed workers, students, nongovernmental organizations and political parties.”
