Seven soldiers wounded in Tatvan

lashes broke out between HPG (People’s Defense Forces) guerrillas and Turkish army in the rural area of Hanelmalı village on Saturday. Clashes started following an explosion during the transit of a military vehicle on the way of Hizan-Tatvan districts in Bitlis.

According to reports coming through from the region, clashes continue since Saturday evening. Seven soldiers are reported wounded in intensifying clashes.

A large number of armed vehicles have been sent to the region.

Separate clashes broke out during the Turkish army operation near Alacık village of Dersim. One specialist sergeant died and one other was wounded in clashes.

The operation in the area is reported continuing as attack helicopters and new military units have been sent to the region.
