Mayor of Şemdinli: Government hiding truth of what is going on

The area around Şemdinli has been the scene of heavy clashes for a week
Mayor of Şemdinli Sedat Töre has said the government is hiding the truth of what is happening in the area.
Töre added that "the area is under control of the HPG guerrillas forces and for the past two days the army has been heavily bombing the area".
The area of Şemdinli has been the scene of heavy clashes since last week. A number of soldiers have died, at least 15 according to HPG sources.
The mayor of Şemdinli has added that "many villagers are distressed for what is happening and are forced to stay out of their homes because of the bombing".
